In-Hand Harmony

Animal Communicators

I’ve written before that four years ago my horse, Tobias, suffered from spinal injuries in addition to a displaced large colon – for which he had colic surgery.

Afterwards, Tobias would lose strength and balance in his right hind leg when simply being hand grazed. We weren’t sure if I would ever ride him again.

Lisa Holbrook is a long-time horse owner, and is trained in equine physiotherapy. With that, she was able to work hands-on with Tobias in addition to ultra sound, magnetic and energy therapies (https://www.facebook.com/soundandsupple/). Lisa also coached me with body work and exercises to help him along the way.

It took us nearly two years, but Lisa got us back on the trails. Not just local open space trails but all-day steep mountain trails.

I mention all that because I have had a professional relationship with Lisa for over four years. I have learned to trust her with my horse. I also enjoy her company and positive energy. She is a true Healer.

With all that there have been issues we haven’t been able to figure out. That is until Lisa took her intuitive gift with animals, put some focus, training and experience behind it, and became a voice for our animals.

I’ve met other people who have said they can communicate with animals. And I’ve always left myself open to learn something, just in case. I’ve been told interesting, sometimes funny tidbits. But nothing I’ve experienced in the past compares to the thorough and in-depth reading we received from Lisa earlier this week. Interestingly, it also made sense of some of the other readings we had received.

It was an enlightening, and emotional, experience. People are not the only ones who carry emotional trauma in their bodies. I had no idea of the past injuries Tobias had suffered and how they were standing in the way of his health and of creating a deeper bond between us. Now, I believe we will be able to work through those issues.

As part of the reading Lisa checked in on what was working and what wasn’t with Tobias feed, supplements, tack, stablemates and activities. We’re making some changes based on that information. Lisa also came to do body work with Tobias based on what she learned, and what she felt physically, and then she showed me what I can do to support that work. It will be interesting to see how things proceed.

Information is powerful. And for me, the more information I have to solve problems, the better.
